Aloe Care Health Insurance Partnerships Turbo-Charged; Paul Rooney (form. of eHealth) Joins Team

Today, health and insurtech expert Paul Rooney joined our team to drive partnerships for Aloe Care with Medicare and other insurers. Paul has nearly 20 years experience in the industry; and his energy, vision, and focus make him perfectly suited to lead this charge. He most recently served as Vice President of Carrier Relations at eHealth, Inc., enabling essential consumer health coverage for millions of Americans across more than 180 top insurers.

At Aloe Care, we have built a comprehensive, 21st Century solution that keeps older adults safer, makes communication between them and their care-teams easier, and addresses the challenging parts of caregiving. Now, we want as many people to have access to our service as possible. Ensuring that we are a covered insurance benefit is key.

“Aloe Care provides a long-overdue, comprehensive, modern-day solution that is ideally suited to this moment,” noted Paul. “It will keep millions of people safer and more connected — I can’t think of a more needed service for independent older adults in America. And for insurers, Aloe Care's ability to improve health outcomes while reducing unnecessary costs and increasing customer satisfaction makes it an ideal benefit inclusion.

”According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, more than 62 million Americans were enrolled in Medicare, Medicare Advantage or other health plans in January 2020. The number of Americans eligible for Medicare is expected to grow significantly in the next few years, as the 2017 U.S. Census Report projected more than 73 million people will be 65 or older in 2030.
